| RULES
This game is very easy to play. If you played last year, you will notice
one minor rule change that will make each week a little more fun and
exciting. Here are the rules:
- Residents of Arizona, Florida,
Maryland, Vermont, Montana,
Louisiana, New Jersey, Arkansas,
or Tennessee are not eligible to participate in the
game, sorry.
- There are no refunds for
weeks missed.
- Picks must be completed and submitted by
the START of the FIRST GAME (watch out for Thursday
and Friday games). There will be no exceptions to this rule.
This is to facilitate being able to see everyone else's picks each
game day.
- You may re-submit your picks if you make a mistake or just don't
like them. However, the last submission received is the one that sticks!
- In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken using the week's final game total points entered by the user. The player closest to the actual
total score, over or under, wins. If there is still a tie, the
player whose picks were submitted first wins.
- Regular Season will contain 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Last
place each week. The credit pot is based on the number of
paid players multiplied by 5. The playoffs will have 1st, 2nd and
3rd place based on number of paid players multiplied by 20 (overall points). The overall
points winner is based on number of paid players multiplied by 10.
The credit payouts are as follows:
| Regular Season |
| 1st place: |
70% of total pot |
| 2nd place: |
15% of total pot |
| 3rd place: |
10% of total pot |
| Last place: |
5% of total pot |
| Playoffs |
| 1st place: |
75% of total pot |
| 2nd place: |
15% of total pot |
| 3rd place: |
10% of total pot |
| Overall Points |
| 1st place: |
100% of total pot |
- Prizes will be released after the last regular season game has been
played (for the regular season/overall points) and after the Superbowl
(for the playoffs).
- This is not gambling. No player or other person
makes or earns anything other than as, and on an equal footing with,
a mere player in the contest or game. In other words, it's just good
clean fun that requires an entry fee to play. Credits
are redeemable for prizes at the end of the season. The entry fee
at the beginning of the season is needed to keep this site running.
- The most important rule is that you have fun!
HOW
TO PLAY
Each
week you log on to this site and make your picks for the games to be
played that week. You will select a winner for each game. Then, based
on how confident you are in your choices, you rank those games from
16 - 1 (or 14 - 1 depending on number of games). If teams that you have
picked to win actually do win, you receive the points that you ranked
for that game. The total number of points possible for each 16 game
week is 136 points, 105 for 14 game weeks.
The
selection grids will look as follows:
According to the selections I've made above, Oakland, Cincinnati,
and Philadelphia will win. I am the most confident that Oakland will
kick the snot out of Tampa Bay, so I've placed the max. 16 points
on that game. I'm almost positive that Philadelphia will make
<insert Denver QB name here> beg for his life behind an ever crumbling offensive line,
so I've placed the second highest point total of 15 on that game.
And so on and so on un till all games have been ranked. All points
must be used to be a valid submission.
Each
week will also have a separate area for the Monday night (or last) game. The
area is labeled Total Points. In this area you will enter your guess
as to the total number of points combined for both teams (i.e. Denver:
3 + Oakland: 56 = 59 Total Points). This will be used as a tie breaker.
You
can check back each Tuesday by noon to see how you did in the standings
area of the site.
